  • Introducing a police perspective on operations in polar regions; assessing key requirements for a non-military organisation that includes an SAR function
  • Meeting the challenge of poor satellite coverage for land-based police operations in the Arctic, and developing new solutions for BLOS communication
  • Examining the recent testing of a portable radio network on the LIVEX exercise, and considering its suitability for future military operations
  • Combining military and civilian resources to enhance the SAR function. The Greenlandic experience of including staff from civilian ships on police rescue and patrol vessels
